These super sweet bowls were designed by the classic British designer Jessie Tait. The Midwinter pottery was based in Stafforshire and the Midwinter Modern 1950s designs are now very collectable. The pattern is called 'Savanna' and is a subtle mix of hand engraved black cross-hatching and yellow squares. It looks very contemporary.
Fully back-stamped Savanna by Jessie Tait, Midwinter Modern, Staffordshire, England. Condition is excellent. I have two bowls. Both are in excellent condition. There is some very mild crazing. Lovely pieces that are over 50 years old.
