Charming display plate hand painted with flowers and acorns in blues, yellows and black. There is also a scalloped yellow border. It is a large plate measuring approx. 25cm in diameter. The condition is excellent. No chips or cracks. Fully back-stamped Myott Son & Co. Made in England. Hand painted. 8209 (Pattern number).

Myott has a seductive sense of mystery around it. The designers are currently not identified as many crucial records, possibly including pattern books, were destroyed in a fire in 1949. As research develops the pieces are becoming increasingly collectable. Myott is a wonderful investment for those with a taste for art deco -1930s funky pieces!
