Clarice Cliff Gallery
Clarice Cliff is one of the most innovative and respected ceramic artists of the 20th century. She was born in Stoke-on-Trent in 1899. She attended Art School and worked in potteries during her early career. By the late 1920s she was designing her own colourful pottery with bold designs. She set up a design studio at Wilkinson's Newport Showroom. Whilst her careeer spans many decades she is, for many, the epitome of Art Deco. The pieces in our Clarice Cliff Gallery are delicate, hand-painted display pieces.
