Susie Cooper, along with Clarice Cliff, is one the great names in British design history. Her work spans seven decades and many styles and forms.

Susie Cooper Hand Painted 'Cubist' Square Dish c.1928

A stunning Susie Cooper (for Grays Pottery) hand painted square dish in the rare CUBIST design (pattern number 8071). Typical of the Art Deco period.

The dish is approx. 11.75cm square and the condition is very good. No chips or cracks. Some crazing and surface marking consummate with age. Very vivid, bright colours.

Susie Cooper worked at Grays Pottery from 1922 until 1929. This piece is fully marked on with Susie Cooper Grays 'Liner' backstamp and marked "Designed by Susie Cooper". An historical and valuable piece of British design history.

Susie Cooper Art Deco Tea Plate.

Charming Art Deco tea plates in green with darker green star pattern and cream border.

These tea plates are both delicate and striking. The colours are typical of the period whilst the simple pattern is desirable to the contemporary eye. Lovely signature, "Susie Cooper, England".

The plates measure 17cm diameter each. Condition is very good. No chips or cracks. Minor paint flake in one or two places. Will display beautifully. Three available.
